National Trust - White Lea Farm

White Lea Farm is based near Easington on the Durham Heritage Coast. The area was once a major source of coal, but when the pits closed, both people and land were left in difficulty.

A challenge that both people and land have risen to! The White Lea Farm property is now a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) for both it’s plant life and it’s geology with the farm and surrounding coastal area (including Horden Dene and Beacon Hill) owned and managed by the National Trust.
